These reeds are individually hand crafted from carefully selected cane, to support the full range with relative ease of response and a pleasant characteristic sound. The shape is unique, but similar to Herzberg's, with a blade length averaging 27 mm from the shoulder and overall length of around 55 mm. No returns on reeds unless damaged in the mail. Damaged reeds must be returned within 7 days. Please email or call before returning. -
These reeds are made with the Herzberg shape. The tip on this shape is slightly narrower than most European shapes which allows for stable intonation throughout the range of the instrument. Additionally, the process of beveling helps with the production of high notes. -
These reed are made with cane that is gouged, shaped, and profiled by Clip & Play reeds, using the Herzberg shape. The Herzberg shape is a narrower shape which gives the reed stable intonation throughout the instrument's range. The reeds are thoroughly play tested for consistency in all aspects: intonation, response, resistance, etc. These reeds run on the slightly more resistant side of their stated strength. Finished with a hot glue turban, made with glitter and featuring different color combinations, each reed has a unique appearance. The turbans are meticulously made which makes them smooth & symmetrical. -
