The ReedGeek Special ZR is your all-encompassing reed tool for flattening reed tables accurately. It's the same as the "Classic" model but with an ergonomic stainless steel handle. With the Special ZR in hand, you’ll never have to worry about throwing out reeds that don’t work for you — you can fix them instead! You can use the Special ZR on natural cane and synthetic reeds as well as single and double reeds. This tool goes through a Chromium medical-grade process and features a high Rockwell hardness, which makes it exceptionally long lasting and corrosion resistant. With a square back scraper, a radius tip, and two rail adjusters, you now have the power to tweak and adjust your reeds till they function to your exact specifications.

Medium soft: The medium soft bassoon reeds are made from Gonzalez tube cane, chosen carefully and hand split. They are hand gouged, profiled, and shaped with Rieger machines. The shape is a Rieger #2. They are wrapped in bright and colorful cotton thread. The final blade length is between 26mm and 27mm from the collar. These reeds play easily and immediately, and have a wonderful warm tone. Medium: The medium bassoon reeds are made from Vandoren tube cane, chosen carefully and hand split. They are hand gouged, profiled, and shaped with Rieger machines. The shape is a Rieger #2. They are wrapped in bright and colorful cotton thread. The final blade length is between 26mm and 27mm from the collar. These reeds will take a little time to break in, but will have longer life and a round, full sound. No returns on reeds unless damaged in the mail. Damaged reeds must be returned within 7 days. Please email or call before returning.
